Photostitching The ghost on the stairway

What is photo manipulation?

Photo manipulation—or photo stitching, as we like to call it—is where we take elements of several photographs and “stitch” them together to create something new.

This is not a new concept. After all, the term “Photoshopped” has been around for at least a couple of decades.

We call it “photo stitching” because we don’t want to associate our service with a particular piece of software. The concept is the same, but it’s got nothing to do with Adobe products.

In the image to the left, we took an existing photograph of a shadowy, spooky castle staircase (photo by Thomas Quine – Wiki commons). This became our basic background. Into this, we stitched in the ghostly, translucent figure of a young woman. The effect is that she is standing on the stairs exuding a misty, green glow.

We have also created many others that may interest you, which can be seen here.

Photo manipulation could be just for fun. It could be as simple as placing someone in a different scene, by changing the background. On the other hand, as can be seen in the examples, it could be completing a family or other group photo, where key people weren’t able to be there. In other cases, we have created pictures for people where a loved one, who has since passed away, has been added into a photo. Pets too have been placed in heavenly surroundings as a memorial to them.

There are many reasons you may have for having photo manipulation done in this way, and we can help you.So, if you wanted that family photo, which has always been impossible to get because family members cannot all be together at the same time, we can help. Even if you want something fantastical, just upload the pictures (here), give us the info and we’ll get right to it!
